Psychotherapy is primarily a talk-based therapy and is intended to help people improve and maintain their mental health and well-being. The client and therapist work together to bring about positive change in the client’s thinking, feeling, behaviour and social functioning. Sessions usually last about 50 minutes and can be online, by phone or in-person.

Affordable therapy is a commitment to providing high-quality counselling services at a cost that works within your budget. It’s about breaking down financial barriers so you can focus on healing, growth, and personal well-being. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, stress, ADHD, relationship challenges, or grief, affordable therapy ensures you can access the care you need without added financial pressures.
We understand that life’s challenges don’t wait for the “right time” or the “perfect circumstances.” Often, people put off seeking help because they feel therapy is beyond their financial reach. At Daru Therapy Centre, we’re here to change that narrative.
Our goal is to create a safe, supportive space for every client, regardless of income level. Mental health care is a human right, not a luxury, and we aim to meet you where you are—financially, emotionally, and mentally.

How We Make Therapy Affordable:
Sliding Scale Fees: We offer flexible pricing based on your income and personal situation to ensure therapy remains accessible.
Supervised Practicum Students: You can work with our skilled therapists-in-training who provide high-quality care under the supervision of licensed professionals.
Single-Session Therapy: Focused, solution-oriented sessions (like SFBT) are designed to address immediate concerns in one or two appointments, saving you time and money.
Flexible Scheduling: Evening and weekend options allow you to fit therapy into your schedule without missing work or other commitments.

If you would like to participate in our Affordable Therapy Program, please email the Clinical Director so that we can match you with the right therapist.
